Can I buy you a drink?

Back to Index

While naturists are often a generally relaxed and friendly bunch, and will go to the beach to chat mingle and laugh, it is not always the case...
Some people go to the naturist beach to strip off the worries and stresses of home, and relax in peace. That person is often a person on their own, and as such can be looked upon as a vunerable target for sex pests. Hence walking up to a lone stranger, reading a book to enjoying the sound of the waves crashing on the beach, and asking them if they would like a drink may be interpreted as yet another sex pest.
If you do wish to meet someone, if they are in a crowd, then saying hi is not normally so much of a problem,as they have their friends behind them.
To meet the lone person, simply wander past say hi, and keep walking, you can sit down nearby, but not too close , a good estimate is 15 metres (45 feet) on a busy beach, 30 metres for a quiet location, and don't keep staring or gawking at them, they will wave and say hi back if they want to chat.
And if they don't acknowledge you within 5 minutes, move on and let them enjoy their peace.
