We are wondering if the recession and financial situation is affecting Naturisum. We have folks on short-time working, every day more people are unemployed. The GBP £ is down 30% against the Euro and a similar amount against the USA Dollar, Property prices are down typically 25% from the peak; it is good job you did not buy that Villa in Spain as prices are down 50% from the peak. Living on a pension abroad is obviously out as it is paid in GBP £.
As a holiday in Europe or the Canaries will cost me 30% more, it looks as if we will have to stay at home. Perhaps we could consider going to our nearest naturist beach which is Holkham Beach some 35 miles away - or we could save the fuel which has just gone up yet again! Even diesel for the yacht has gone up, we can no longer use Red (Duty free Diesel) at 30p litre, we have to use Road Diesel to fall in with EU regulations this is around £1 a litre. It will have to be more sail and less engine.
It is being cheerful that keeps us going, still I can go and get the Daily newspaper and see what Gordon Brown has fallen flat on today.
