Hi folks
This is an old debate with a new twist. Yes, the much discussed 'erection in naturism'. Okay, let me establish a few things first.
1. There are those who are puritans and think that any such occurrences should be kept for the bedroom.
2. There are those who are accepting of erections so long as there is the guy covers it up or lies on his belly for a time.
3. There are those who are accepting of erections but don't expect a guy to conceal it. However, they do expect discretion and expect the guy not to be actively displaying it.
4. There are those who think that it shouldn't be covered at all, although they wouldn't condone any sexual activity beyond that.
5. There are exhibtionists and voyeurs, self-explanatory really.
Okay. So we have a spectrum of opinions on the erection in naturism there. Each perfectly entitled to their stance on the subject and I always respect anothers opinion, their actions being the problem for me. This twist mostly applies to categories 1, 2 and 3.
The twist I have on this old chestnut is; who is actually more offended in a situation where an erection occurs ? For the sake of simplicity, we will assume that minors are not present in said situation. The most widely accepted view is that if a guy is sporting an erection in naturism, then he should conceal it or leave the group for more private settings until the erection subsides. However, I was reading opinions on this elsewhere and one man expressed that if he was erect in a naturist setting and he was asked to leave or cover up, he would be offended.
I have to say, I would too. Why should I conceal or otherwise hide my erection, simply because someone else doesn't like the sight of it ? Isn't this similar to saying that I don't want to see someone naked due to a certain aspect of their appearance ? What do you think ? Isn't it offensive to ask a man to conceal his erection ? By doing so you are implying that it is offensive. The erection is hardly offensive, it is natural and it is part and parcel of the male anatomy.

In The Buff is a community site, which aims to promote the naturist cause. Members are a friendly community of natursts, that enjoy practising naturism either at home, on the beach, on holiday, or anywhere the fancy takes them. They may have been naturists for a week, a year, or their whole life. What brings all the naturists here together is the fun and friendship.
