We have just returned home from a really great holiday in Playa blanca lanzarote, While there we visited the gorgeous Papagaya beaches as often as we could, the beaches are about an hours walk from playa blanca center or you can get a taxi for less than 4 euro's, anyway these beaches are very popular with naturists and are completely unspoilt as they are part of a protected area in the south of the island, the sea is crystal clear and is great for snorkeling with all the shoals of fish swimming around, the golden sands are also spotlessly clean,
access to the beaches is either from the main road and then down a very long dirt track, or from the Papagaya arena hotel and then over two hills which have steep rough paths down them ( both routes are proberbly not too easy for people with walking difficulty's) in that case you would be better hiring a car and driving from the main road and then slowly driving down the long dirt track there is a 3 euro charge for driving down the dirt track.
