A US carpenter who was caught hammering and sawing in the nude has been cleared of indecent exposure.
Percy Honniball was arrested last year after he was found naked and building cabinets at an Oakland home where he had been hired to work.
The 51-year-old woodsman said he likes to work in the nude because it’s more comfortable and it keeps his clothes clean.
Honniball was given two years probation in 2003 after being caught three times working naked in Berkeley, where public nudity is banned.
Oakland has no such ban, so Superior Court Judge Julie Conger ruled Honniball was not acting lewdly or seeking sexual gratification, and hence was not guilty of indecent exposure.
Thank goodness for sensible judges
