As I've just mentioned on another thread, I get my usual 'fix' of ITB from the 'Latest Forum Posts' link under the 'Forums' section in the navigation bar. The main reason behind this is that the 'Latest Items' display often gets swamped by lots of photo uploads. Generally speaking, I tend to ignore the photo content on the site unless they're of someone I know.
But I've just realised that this means I'm missing out on other discussion elements, such as things that are posted under the 'Events Calendar.' If I go to 'Latest Items' then they're there, but 'Latest Forum Posts' skips the discussion because it's not technically in the forums.
Also, I've noticed that 'Latest Forum Posts' only gives the title of each post - it doesn't list the title of the thread that it's part of, which makes it rather confusing to use.
Ideally, I'd love to see a version of 'Latest Items' that allowed me to configure the categories of items that I wanted to include in via my profile. Is that likely to be possible with the board software as it stands? (I'm just waiting for someone to make me look a complete muppet by telling me how it can already be done.) Beyond that, is there any way of having a 'Latest Events Calendar Posts' link too, and maybe adding the thread titles into both that and the 'Latest Forum Posts' display?
