| In the last lesson, we worked out how to move around the resort, in this Double lesson, we will learn how to pick things up and how to talk to others. Talking to others, couldn't be more simple, simply type a line of text and press Enter. The line of text will appear on other peoples screen as YourName says "blah blah".  Walking on the lawns at the ITB Resort | Only 1 thing to remember, if you say something like "who is coming for dinner", the computer will pick up the first word and see it as a command, and display who is online (that's what the "who" command does), if you want to say "who is coming to dinner" put a double quote before the sentance ie. "who is coming to dinner. Now when you move into a room, you may see something in the room. eg. bunch of keys, picking these keys up will help you get through doors, so you will want to "get bunch of keys" , by typing it just like that. You can shorten it to get bunch , assuming there isn't a bunch of flowers in the room, if there were, the computer will have your character pick up the first thing it sees. |
