I arrived in Cap D'Agde naturist quarter around 4:30pm and the weather was warm but not sunny.
As soon as I got out of the car I shed my clothes as I was going to make the most of my naturist time being able to be free of them,
and if the climate suited I would remain unclothed for my stay.
I was then taken to my accomodation, I was staying in the Heliopolis block of apartments.
There are a few apartment blocks Heliopolis, Port Ambonne and Port Nature to name a few.
In some old picture it shows swimming pools in the centre of the Heliopolis block, but this has been replaced by the building of more apartments.
My accomodation was quite small and possibly in the oldest part of the Heliopolis.
It contained a small bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin all you need really.
In the main area was a kitchenette with two electric rings and a sink, a microwave, a sofa bed and a small table with two chairs.
I also had a small balcony with a patio table and two chairs.
It was ok for me on my own but I seriously think a couple would of struggled being in such a small space together.
I think the small apartments were only in the H,G and F side of the Heliopolis as the other Heliopolis apartments seemed to be newer and had a separate living and sleeping area and a large balcony.
The living area alone looked as big as my whole apartment.
Plenty of facilities to eat and drink during the day and night, I found the prices comparable with UK prices.
There were supermarkets dotted around as well as the usual shops selling tat, fresh fruit and veg available far nicer than over here.
Plenty of boulangeries/patisseries, a few hairdressing salons and beauty type shops that probably did a bundle in waxing women and men.
Also for the winos there were a few little wine merchant type shops too.
During the day most people were naked, but I was surprised by the amount that were clothed, and many seem to dress to go to and from the beach?
I can understand the day visitors doing that but not sure why the people staying there would do that.
I can appreciate them wearing clothes if the weather dictates it either it's cold or they are protecting themselves from the sun as it was quite fierce at times.
Many people wore little sarongs which I suppose are handier than carrying a towel to sit on in the bars and restaurants.
The beach was lovely and large (must be approx a mile long) and the sea shelves gently and was warm and clean.
Saying that, one evening when I stayed at the beach till about 7ish as many people had gone I noticed the beach was littered with cigarette butts everywhere.
There are a few bars and restaurants at the beach and they tend to have sun loungers for hire in front of them.
The sand gets very hot so don't forget your footwear. ;-)
Of an evening most people dressed, some dressed casually and others in fetish or skimpy club wear.
There were a few ordinary bars and many couples only clubs.
Although I had heard prior to going that of an evening some of the bars and restaurants frowned on nudity and won't serve you,
I never came across this, you just tend to be in the minority.
Found it strange in a dedicated naturist resort of an evening I tended to be one of a few token naturists out and about.
Many people stayed nude and relaxed on their balconies in company, instead of going out.
The temperature day and night when I was there in June was well suited to naturism.
There was a mixed age range but I would say the majority were in either their late 40's, 50's and 60's staying in the naturist quarter, during the day
there seemed to be more of an even mix, possibly due to day visitors.
I far as I could tell the population while I was there consisted almost entirely of couples, with very few single people there (me being one of them :-( lol)
although it is hard to tell.
There were a few families but as it was just before the school hols I expect it was the wrong time for them.
I suppose the time of year dictates the age range as well as how busy it is.
Going back to the part about many people being clothed, I got chatting to a lovely couple on the beach on my last day, he was a naturist and she wasn't.
Although she wasn't a naturist she enjoyed naturist surroundings, was very comfortable with other people's nudity and seemed quite pro naturist, but wasn't comfortable to be totally nude herself.
I thought that was great, they weren't staying in Cap D'Agde naturist quarter, but had a day pass and came into it every day.
They went on either naturist holidays or to places near to naturist beaches a couple of times a year.
Unfortunately her confidence was shattered at Vera Playa last year, where there are mandatory nudity rules around the pool.
She knew about these and had been nude with just her husband around the pool in the morning and was working up to being nude in company, when a
Spanish guy started ranting because she was still wearing bikini bottoms upsetting her and knocking her confidence to be fully nude.
Fortunately it didn't stop them enjoying other naturist hols.
Wouldn't it be great if all non naturist partners were like that?
I would go again ( hopefully with a girlfriend ;-)) as I enjoyed being free of my clothes for a week and having the weather suited to naturism and
if need be I would go alone again but think I'll make it a ten day stay next time ;-)
Hopefully below is a copy of the information leaflet given and a before and how it is at the moment pictures of in the centre of the Heliopolis.
Sorry about the sun lotion on the leaflet.
Heliopolis how it used to be.
How it is at the moment, the photo was taken around 21:30 so my apologies about it not being very bright.
