Went to Spielplatz yesterday and after a few delicious hours by their pool I headed back to Southend. As soon as I'd hit the M25 I realised it was a mistake and after about 2 hours creeping along at walking pace I headed back to Spielplatz for a cup of tea and a comfort break!
Since it was only late afternoon I thought I'd take another dip and bide my time before trying for home again, but this time I forgot that I'd probably rubbed off all my sun screen when I towelled down and dressed to leave the first time. Just one hour in the sun without protection got me a fabulous pink colour that you can see in my General album (ouch.jpg) and that I can only attribute to my Scottish ancestry.
And if you're wondering the photo was taken today - a whole day later. And yes, it stings like f*ck!!!!
