The feeling is that we need to keep the beach in people's minds (especially the council's - who have been very supportive to date - we hope to follow that up).
We've made a start with the campaign website (www.eastneybeach.org.uk) - still some work to do there though. What we could really do with are some contributions (effort, not money) - We'd really like to stress the history of the place.
A lot has been mentioned about how long naturists have been using the beach. It's not easy finding any documentary evidence though - anyone have:
* Old photos of the beach?
* Pointers to online articles about the beach
* Personal story to tell about eastney and their naturism
There's a gallery and (small) forum in place too.
We're trying to organise an event or 2 on the beach
Still very early days in the campaign. Funnily enough probably the biggest obstacle for us is that there isn't an immediate threat to the beach, the bulldozers aren't moving in now - probably not for a year or 2. The key is for us to have a working support organisation in place, for when disruption does start.
