English beaches

Back to Index

We all know the popular beaches - Studland, Holkham, Morffa Dyffrin et al.

But finding information about other beaches is quite difficult.  NUFF is good although the info from there seems to be copied to other sites.

There are many more places that are known to the locals and fail to reach the popular sites, so that when we go on holiday we are searching with one eye closed.

As an example:-  We are going to Pagham (near Chichester in May and my researches have come up with Selsey, and Climping in the area.  Additionally, mentioned as an aside in one report, 'Pagham Spit' is recommended.  I have checked maps and can find no accurate info on the exact location.  Can anyone enlighten me?

There must be many more similar 'hidden beaches' and this could prove a valuable asset to the members if people would write in with their favourites.
