Remember press coverage earlier this year when a 14 year old girl was badly burned using an unsupervised Coin Slot Tanning salon sunbed. She ended up with 70% burns. It happened somewhere in South Wales
The owner James Hadley was prosecuted under health and safety laws, the Judge yesterday said Hadley had a caviler approach and had failed to staff the salon and operated the machines beyond recommended times He also made false statements to Council officers. He had a chain of 7 salons all apparently unsupervised
Hadley was released on bail until next month for sentancing. It may be custodial.

We wonder if this might be the end of Coin Slot Tanning, or at least those that are unmanned.
