Earth Hour

At 8pm on 29th March we want you to switch off your lights for one hour to inspire people to take action on climate change as part of WWF's Earth Hour.

Last year more than 2 million people in Sydney flicked off their light switches and enjoyed an hour of darkness for one hour - Earth Hour.

By reducing Sydney's energy consumption by 10.2% for one hour (the equivalent effect of taking 48,000 cars off the road for one hour) the event showed that together, our small actions can make a difference to global warming.

Landmarks like the Harbour Bridge and Opera House turned their lights off, and the worlds media took notice.

This year the event has gone global and many major global cities are joining Earth Hour in 2008, turning a symbolic event into a global movement.

Earth Hour will be held at 8pm on March 29th. This year we are getting involved and we want you to join us!

We are already counting down to Earth Hour. Not long now!

Quiz Night 6

It was a busy night for quiz night 6, in the ITB chatroom. The drink was flowing and the wisecracks falling. It was down to the final tie-break (a first for the ITB quiz) With Moggie and Noelthecyclist going head to head. Neither actually managed to guess exactly In which year did Zeppo Marx die. (1979 in case you are wondering)? Noel came the closest with 1974 and was initially declared the winner. However, drama unfolded and it was Noel who advised that he got the value of pi wrong (he did it to too many decimal places) and that further to that as he was not currently a supporter that Moggie should be declared the winner of ITB Quiz Night 6. Of course he promised he would now join ITB as we're such a friendly lot. All hail Moggie the winner of the ITB Quiz night 6 crown, and a £10 gift voucher.
