Naturist Place appears on Map

New Zealand - Would it be a record?

A 45km stretch of beach on the Kapiti Coast could be open for nude swimming and sunbathing under a proposed bylaw.

Does anyone know if this would make it the longest official naturist beach in the world?

Budleigh Salterton Beach

Budleigh Salterton is an official naturist beach in Devon.

It is a pebble beach, not sand, and the beach is 500m west of the Steamer Steps.

Park in the car park in the centre of Budleigh Salterton, walk a few metres down to the beach, then along the beach.

Druridge Bay Beach

Druridge bay is a beach on the northeast coast, it is private beach used with the permission of the owner, although it isn't an official beach.

from Nuff.org.uk

The beach is private land however and Mr Derek Denny, Chairman of SANER contacted the landowner and was assured that we could use the section from the Chevington burn, south to the mid point between the Chevington burn and the National Trust area as a naturist beach, but he did not want it made an official beach.

Please stay within this area and DO NOT cross over the Chevington burn naked into the Country Park. There are often a number of unaccompanied males gathered near the Chevington burn end of the beach.

Freystan Nude Beach - Fraisthorpe Sands

Sandy beaches some cliffs offering some shelter, see the FUN website (link below) for more info - please add comments on your visits to the beach

Ross Sands

Dunes and long sandy beach - quite a way out, so don't expect crowds of people

And certainly seems to be devoid of walkers/wanderers past.

Ideal for a quiet time with lots of sunbathing in summer sunshine - no facilities, so bring picnic and plenty of water to drink.

Comments from visitors to the sands welcome

Winterton Dunes

Unofficial nudist beach, with dunes and very sandy beach, can be windy, so take a windbreak. Is also an nature reserve/RSPB so plenty of feathered birds to watch, but please be careful of any nesting areas.

Please keep the beach clean, take your litter home.

Nearest services are a cafe and toilets and shop at the carpark in Winterton-On-Sea

Any comments from people have visited welcome

Downderry Beach Unofficial

The eastern end of the beach is difficult to access and involves climbing a very steep cliff path. It is an ‘unofficial naturist beach’. It is possible to walk along the beach from Seaton at low tide but check before doing so.

Walney Island Unofficial Beach

Walney Island, also known as the Isle of Walney, is the eighth largest marine island in England.

The island lies in the Irish Sea to the west of the Furness peninsula in north-west England. Until 1974 both the island and the peninsula were a detached part of the county of Lancashire but are now in Cumbria, the island being part of the borough of Barrow-in-Furness to which it has been connected by bridge (Jubilee Bridge) since 1908. Until the bridge was built a ferry was used to transport the workers.
