Swimming in a local pool was marvellous. Later at Studland was even better. Much prefer the beach.

Apart from just getting nude at home, but not in front of others, and the changing room at the swimming baths, my first PUBLIC nudist experience came when I was a student in Berlin. A fellow student [half German himself] won tickets to the new swimming baths called Blub and he decided to ask me along.
We had tried out all the pools and decided to try out the "Sauna Garten". Being Germany, we were required to take out trunks off and as I entered the sauna I was struck by the fact that all these people were naked, chatting and hadn't turned round to stare at a skinny guy like me with no clothes on. It was all so natural and ordinary. And, I suppose, so "un-English". We were chatted to like human beings, being taught how to soak your feet first and other things for a good sauna. It was just that we were all naked, a great leveller. Who knows, we could have been with judges and doctors and bricklayers. What did it matter?
As they say, I haven't looked back since.
I guess the first experience was at an indoor venue. Only about 2 other people there, this was about 20 years ago. First beach experience was at Brighton. It felt great the freedom of no clothes
