Abbey House Gardens COD 15 August 2008

I'm going down to AHG on Friday 15th, hoping to arrive by midday. Are any other buffers gonna be there or am I going to be Billy No-Mates?

What a birthday! My good friend Kitty (not a naturist) drove me from Lincoln to Malmesbury, Wiltshire so I could enjoy spending some of my birthday at an AHG CO Day. I had an excellent time in beautiful and friendly surroundings, bathed in warm sunshine. I was privileged to meet and chat with Ian and Barbara Pollard whose home Abbey House is and it was also lovely to chat with Richard and Anne Daniels, Pete Knight and "Barebum" (sorry - don't know his real moniker!).

We stayed overnight on Friday in a B&B which I can heartily recommend. Only 30 quid per person per nght in a clean and comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. The owner, Mrs Jenny Warner, is really friendly and helpful, and the address of the place is "Kinfield", Bremilham Road, Malmesbury, SN16 0DQ, tel: 01666 825041. ( Honest: I haven't got shares in the place!)

Joined the queue as the gates opened but sadly after getting undressed it did start to rain and get a little cold but still a great time was had! Special congratulations to the couple who renewed their wedding vows in the afternoon despite the weather.
