Airport Security...

In the course of a single trip to South America recently I was body searched, that is: pulled aside, waited for an operative and 'patted down' and foot swabbed 5 times on the outward and 5 times on the return journey. I suppose a bald, fat, one legged Irishman must be high on the list of high risk security profiles.....

How much time and trouble and expensive body scanners would it save on body searches if we all stripped off when we entered an airport before going through security and on to our flight? ...of course they'd have to keep the terminals warmer...!

:D

X- rayted

I don't know whether these scanners have become compulsory at airports that have them fitted but I know that a lot of people refused to enter them when they were initially brought into existance.

As for everyone stripping off instead, well great idea for nudists who are comfortable being naked but not so sure that the other millions of pasengers would be OK with it ......

It's a nice thought though, and I for one would be applying for a job at the airport to oversee that everything went smoothly.

Those x-ray scanners

I haven't trusted those full-body x-ray scanner from the start. Well, too be precise the ones at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport where you have to stand on two footprints after for a minute. Every time I have felt hot and heavy afterwards. What are they doing to people's bodies? Stripping off would be much easier...

Well they would then have to look for devices elsewhere.

I wonder if ......

When we talk about Airport scanners, if they are actually 'X-Ray's or some other type of scanner like an Ultra Sonic scan that is used for some purposes in hospitals.

After all, the frequent flyer might suffer from loss of his/her virility if exposed to x-rays too often.
