Moderation of Naturist and Nudist web sites
Seems to vary considerably between sites. Generally it is just a question of common sense. We have sites that whilst claiming to be Nudist sites offering you a space for your profile etc. the Moderators/Webmasters seem unconcerned that 'Porn' imagies also appear as do pics of children as young as 11 years old on display. Forum subjects include such subjects as INCEST which many of the conributors seem to consider acceptable. One well known ITB member has offered the webmaster of this particular site, his support in cleaning up the areas that offend normal standards.

This site has its quota of those seeking sexual contacts as well as GENUINE naturists which is the reason, tradional naturist stay - at least for a while.
One U.K based Free site, has, so as not to offend the traditionist, has an EROTIC section, this includes such niceties as Fun items like jokes about 'Anus's and more 'explicit' pics. You have to request access to this area. A moderator on this site recently conducted himself in the style of 'A 1960's British Leyland Shop Steward', he was officious and offensive to the site member and clearly had little knowledge of his subject matter e.g Law of Copyright, in this case the 'offence' were cartoons which had been put into the Public Domain therefore could be used by any person any time. The member did in fact offer to supply notes on the Law of Copyright to this moderator so he could improve his level of knowledge in this area and become a more competent moderator. The moderator did not take up the offer.
Was the Moderator suffering from 'Peaked Cap Syndrome?'.
The member finally gave up and quit the site.
As part of my work as a Moderator for a national organisation (since 1987 in fact) and for the last 10 years, part of my work is training moderators to moderate a range of subject areaa, should I offer my services?
On Yahoo.co.uk, where it is possible to get a free email address, there are Yahoo groups, this include such interests as Freecycle with sites for each geographic area as well as 2 Naturist sites. One is more active than th other. Simply run sites, but having the basics
