How Far

I drive 40miles each way to the Sports evening Alton. I would think twice about going if it was much further for what is a 3hr event.

My regular beach is Eastney which is about 2hrs away by train and bike, my normal means of getting there, (just over an hour by car). I have been to Studland a couple of times, but this is 3.5hrs plus each way by a combination of car / train/ & bus. Going by car all the way knocks about an hour off but heavy traffic would easily add that back on again. Therefore for me the journey makes Studland a less attractive proposition,

I've also driven 85miles each way to an SOC walk. That journey was 2hrs each way by car, and the pleasure of walking naked for nearly 7hrs meant that for me it was well worth it.

John

Cyber friends.

I totally agree with ukduo. As much as I enjoy being naked either alone or in company, there is surely just so much that one can say about preferring not to wear clothes?
I have two or three long time nudist internet friends who have remained that way simply because we have a number of other interests in common. Of course we exchange nudist experiences and photographs but recognise that however much we enjoy it, social nakedness is but one part of our lives.

I think it is important to know, That is if they tell the truth, I met up with another itb member and we went for a walk itb, While walking he started to play with himself and got a stiff on. He said he was straight but must have got arroused by me being nude with him, I told him to P^^^ off and not to contact me again. This person is still on ITB.

Thanks for sharing your story Mick. It also shows that not all clubs place obstacles in the way of single males who want to join.

Regards,

Good to hear the story of your "journey" Mick... I think anyone pondering naturism will be inspired to give it a go after reading your personal story

Mick,

Your blog should be a true inspiration to any people thinking or in the stage of becoming a naturist.

Well done, a true word smith in our midst.

We havent been to Dublin for a few years but it is a great day out, if you are in North Wales you can get some good walk on fairs from Holly-Head - (at one time you didnt even need a passport, though this may have changed,so its worth checking)

cyber friends

Sometimes they can last, it depends on how much effort each person puts into it.

The problem with cyberspace is that its like the Tardis.
Your 'friends' are inside that little box on your knee or under the desk, until you want to physically meet when they end up 50, 500, 5000 miles away.

We've met people off here, and other nudist sites and got on great with them. But we can't accommodate because of the kids, and even a journey of 50 miles can be a real pain if you have been at work all week, the weathers awful, your partner has a headache, the cars playing up....etc.

And so the friendship slides away, you want to stay friends but things get in the way.

Even people who are relatively local can start as friends but slide if you find that nakedness is all you have in common.

Sexual preferances

At the end of the day, in a purely naturist setting, people shouldn't be sexual active in any way shape or form.
By this I mean, as an example, that i think we all know what the reaction would be if a couple of whatever sex, or sexes, were to get up on the diving board at your local swim and start 'making love'.
They'd be thrown out, yes?
But when they leave, as long as they've behaved themselves at the swim, nobody could care less about them.
I find my wife sexually attractive, it doesn't mean I'm going to do anything with her in public that others would find offensive.

Sexual activity in any naturist setting, e.g. the dunes at Studland, should be discouraged.
Thats why I always write letters of complaint to people who think a good way to revive a sagging libido is to go naked.

bjpickering
Reading your comments i find that you where very fortunate that you and susan got together, There are quiter afew of us who are married but the partner is not interested in nudism in any shape or form therefore we are hampered in a way I have been on my own bathing and did go to a swim in Leeds regulary but at the final meeting I was not accepted as they had enough single males already members, I must admit I was very disappointed . i have had chats with other people (nudists ) and found it interesting but going back to my first comment i cannot get away on my own often there fore making it difficult to meet people.

Making Contact with folks.

The problems that we all face with making contact with other folks, is simply that we all have other lives and commitments rather than just than spending time on the computer. Maybe people are more available when the sun is not shining.
What happens as well, is that we will manage to get on the system at a wide range of times which don't match up with other people. Sometimes for us it is 5.00 am, sometimes lunchtime. We are not able to allocate a specific time 'Just in Case'
We tried Instant messaging both with and without a cam. Here on the edge of the Fens our Broadband is very poor and in the evenings tends to lose the connection. The best we ever acheive is 1.9 mhz and some sites handle the traffic better than others.
It is rather like eating peas with chopsticks.

B & S
