How Far

I drive 40miles each way to the Sports evening Alton. I would think twice about going if it was much further for what is a 3hr event.

My regular beach is Eastney which is about 2hrs away by train and bike, my normal means of getting there, (just over an hour by car). I have been to Studland a couple of times, but this is 3.5hrs plus each way by a combination of car / train/ & bus. Going by car all the way knocks about an hour off but heavy traffic would easily add that back on again. Therefore for me the journey makes Studland a less attractive proposition,

I've also driven 85miles each way to an SOC walk. That journey was 2hrs each way by car, and the pleasure of walking naked for nearly 7hrs meant that for me it was well worth it.

John

Travel? - busmans holiday!

I drive for a living (if the wages can be called a living). I hate driving on my days off but with a 3 hour drive to my favorite beach (Studland) it only happens twice a year. Have been visiting Spielplatz recently, its anywhere between 40 mins and 1 hr 40 mins around the M25. Other clubs are closer but dont want to know.
Watford swim is about 35 mins away and well worth it - especially if they get the new pool.
Nudefest was 5 1/2 hours away - but well worth it. Cant make it to Alton Towers - too expensive.
How far would I travel? A long way!!!

I'm a new convert to naturism, but I'm lucky to have a "proper" naturist beach about 40 miles away at Budleigh Salterton. I would consider travelling further (I've been to Ringstead once, where I went naked for the very first time), but there would have to be a very good beach at the end of the journey to make it worth while!

I do not have a conveniently near nudist beach (St Osyth was rendered inaccessible by a storm some years ago) so I tend to visit the "far end" of textile beaches when quiet (e.g. Walton-On-The-Naze) or walk through the countryside via footpaths in the early morning. I am envious of Spain and Denmark where it is legal to be naked anywhere in public whilst not causing a nuisance and I have taken advantage of it in Menorca having walked many times from Santo Tomas to Son Bou without clothing and also from the beach to the apartment ,

I take 45 minutes to get to a good nudist beach, thats about long enough. It is well worth it. Today got in 3 hours of splashing around - once a fortnight is the maximum for that though in terms of time

My regular swims are a hour

My regular swims are a hour away and Morfa Dyffryn is a 3 hour drive sometimes longer depending on traffic.
Would be nicer to be closer to the beach as the weather can be a lot different as you get closer.
The hour drive to the swims isn't a problem as I enjoy my naked socialising and relaxing.

We often travel down to Dorset for the day. A trip of 3 to 4 hrs depending on traffic. We do try to go for the weekend if possible but with family commitments on Saturdays now it is more likely to be Sundays only.
How far?

As far as I can afford - which isn't very much, so isn't very far! I try and make a couple of "biggies" each year; last year was the BN Beach Day at Holkham and the Alton Towers Weekend. This year I hope to get to Alton Towers again and to Abbey House Gardens in August. as a birthday treat. As for the rest - looks like I shall have to put up with permanent white bits!

Hugs n stuff

To a naturist venue, perhaps a beach, a swim or maybe some other event.

Do you limit your 'Travel Time' or the 'Mileage' you will do?

In the past we have done 80 miles each way to a swim, and longer for a full day at a beach, a club or centre. Are you cutting back on places you goto? If you don't attend will it make these events Non Viable and we lose them?
