Maybe it is time to put an end to this discussion.
As said by Admin, ITB is a naturist site and those who come here for other reasons soon seem to disappear either through non-use of their membership or by request to terminate their membership.
We are members as naturists, with creed, colour or gender inconsequential.
Any members who feel they are or have been inappropriatly approached on ITB have the opportunity to advise the ITB Admin of such.
Any inappropriate activity outside of ITB is the members own responsibility.

I say again, is there any need for questions like this?
I am on this site as I am a naturist and like chatting and meeting (Nudefest soon) other naturists, I don't care if they are young, old, male, female, hetro..., homo..., black, white, asian, fat, thin or 2 heads.

If someone is doing something inapropriate then something needs to be done about it but I don't see the need for questions about peoples sexual orientation, marital status or ratios of any of them.

I used to use another naturist site but left for 2 reasons, the 1st it turned out to be 1/2 for meeting naturists and 1/2 for meeting for sex, this isn't what I was looking for, the 2nd reason was the constant threads started about numbers of men/women, sexual orientation etc.

Please don't let this site turn in to a site like that

I think if we are talking on average your average male finds naked women sexually atractive but not so with true naturist blokes. How ever i have 2 instences to quote: the first one is at the camp site we use, 2 years ago, there was a naturist family. The first time i spoke to the man i had been speaking to him for about 10 minutes and he began coming out with leud sexual inuendos. I will not be naked if he is at the camp now because i feel leared at. Instence number 2 was on Studland beach I was introducing a female friend to naturism when we were hasseled by a guy actually commenting on her breasts she put her swim suit on and i had to literaly swear at the guy to make him go away.
I am not tarring all men with the same brush here but these are just my observations

I think you have hit the nail on the head there Admin with your comments on the subject, and agree that a lot of sex sites do use the word naturism as a cover, but guys will go on the computer and just surf the net to while away a bit of time,( not sure the women do) which was how i found the ITB site in the first place, and am glad i did

I don't believe that there is any specific reason for ladies not to join ITB if they wanted to.

However, given that roughly 20 profiles a week are deleted from males that have not visited the site for 6 months or more, it brings the conclusion that maybe many males join the site in the hope of something that they have found under the heading naturism before.

Many of us, I suspect, have seen and read discussions about how sex sites use the word naturist to drag in visitors etc. So in the long run many visitors will be visiting in the hope of something more than naturism.

So I'd recommend just chatting on as normal and not worrying about the ships that pass in the night, it's the ones that weigh anchor and join in that count.

Hope we'll see you all at the quiz in a couple of weeks time.

Truth is I have no idea why more men than women, perhaps we have more time to access the internet. Perhaps as Denny says it doesnt matter a jot anyway.

I persuaded myself not to take on such discussions before, but I really feel like making a comment on this one.
Does it matter? I, for one, joined this site not knowing if there were more ladies than gents, more gays, than str8, more old than young. I must admit, I did not notice at first, but it doesnt bother me anyway.
I have enjoyed being a member of the site and hope to continue to do so, whether more males join, more females join or someone has the nerve to declare their sexuality.
I joined a site that encourages naturism , for and by naturists. Pure and Simple. I didnt join a group that said naturists but you cant join because there are too many males (smacks of local clubs).

We looked at the profiles of 'New members' the other morning. There were 5 that we had not seen before.
Of the 5,
2 declared themselves as Bi Males
2 stated that they were Gay Males
and
the 1 remaining stated the he was a Straight Male,

So we get back to the original question, 'Why so few Female Members on the site?'

Or to ask it another way; Why is the Ratio of Males to Females that are members of Naturist web sites so high. This seems true of both U.K based sites and those based in other English speaking countries.

Ladies have been described as 'Like Hens Teeth' because they are so scarce.

Now to add to the question, 'What could be done to encourage Females to join such sites?'
