Sexuality

I think it is important to know, That is if they tell the truth, I met up with another itb member and we went for a walk itb, While walking he started to play with himself and got a stiff on. He said he was straight but must have got arroused by me being nude with him, I told him to P^^^ off and not to contact me again. This person is still on ITB.

Gender / Status

It actually says on the profiles GENDER / STATUS and not sexual preference. It can also be left blank if a member does not want to say.

We all get tagged or pigeon holed, either by ourselves, by others or society. Some are good and some bad. You could say the majority of us are in the minority.

I do agree though that it doesnt or shouldnt really matter what your sexuality, racial background or in our case disability is if your a naturist on ITB or anywhere else.

But having said that I do find profiles usful and interesting, we all look at one anothers profiles I'm sure for what ever reason. They are a good way of finding a bit of information to start a conversation.

Best wishes
Kevin and Tracy

As usual

As usual Mother well spoken and well thought out. Lets not forget this is a naturist site...not a dating site of some sort so sexual orintation shouldn't be an issue if you are here for true naturist purposes...or am I being naive......

Regards

Rob

"Frankly, my dear,

"...I don't give a damn", as the rampantly heterosexual Rhett Butler once said in Gone with the Wind. My friends include those who identify as straight, gay, lesbian, transgender, naturist and textile. But that have one wonderful thing in common: they are all wonderful human beings whose humanity is far more important than their sexual orientation. I also have friends who are racially different to me: Malaysian, Chinese, African, Indian, Iranian and Japanese. They are also human beings whose humanity is far more important than their racial type. And as with sexual orientation, they had no choice either.
.
It says in my profile that I'm male. I am. That I happen to be gay is an irrelevance to this site and my naturism.
.
Mother has spoken!!!!!
.
Hugs n stuff
On a point of order.....

I don’t often feel compelled to take issue with this sort of posting but I think the Header “Sexual Preference” is totally wrong and misleading. Preference indicates Choice… being gay..or bi …or straight for that matter… is not a choice, so therefore it is not a “preference”. It is an orientation if it needs to be classified at all. I for one would not have put up with bullying at school, being petrified of being found out at work as it was illegal when I started work, and when it was made legal I as an individual was still illegal being under age 21. In 1981 I was summarily sacked from my job because of it (no protection in law then) and also spent 15 years having to lie to my parents about the lack of girlfriends etc.

Anyone else want to make that “choice”?

Having got that off my chest…. I do think the orientation is useful to know for all parties. Some folks may be uncomfortable with me being gay. Better they know up front …. It is surpring how you get used to being snubbed!! Similarly it is useful for me to know someone’s orientation… and believe it or not sex has nothing to do with it any more than it does for straight people .. it is just that you sometimes have more in common socially. I do know and chat with more straight people on this site anyway.

I will get off my soap box now . LOL

Ian

SEXUAL PREFERENCES

I've found this quite interesting, and as a result, have changed my gender/status on my profile to "a male". I agree that my sexuality has no bearing on my membership of this site, and have taken the view that declaring my sexuality could deter some people from communicating with me.

My membership of this site is all about making like-minded friends, thus increasing my opportunities to enjoy social nudity.

Re: SEXUAL PREFERENCES

I couldn't agree more. I cannot see any relevance whatsoever in the declaration of sexual preference of any member on this site. We are all here for one common reason...we love to be naked and enjoy the company of like minded folk.
What or who you choose to sleep with is entirely your business and I do not want or need to know!
All I ask is that people here, can continue to treat each other as equals and as friends regardless of gender or background.
If you wish to discuss your "preferences" with any other member, then that is fine, but why the need for it to be declared in the profile. Declaration of age is also irrelevant EXCEPT that it would be wise to say "Under 20" or Over 20" and whether Female or Male, in order to avoid some unwittingly awkward or unsuitable conversations.
Gender

I find the gender/status selection very useful. There are some things I would never presume to say to a lady, so its nice to know who/what/which you are talking to online. If there is no pic then some of the niks can be confusing. (Denny for example is a female name in USA)
I am in 2 minds on the age thing.
As a person well over the half century, its nice to know that you are talking to someone that has left school. On the other hand, I think some of the younger members, think twice about contacting a dirty OLD man.
Why not put it in, Admin, and see what the reaction is?

Gender of member

"As this is a Naturist Site do we really need to know what sexual preferences folks are? This is part of the GENDER/STATUS in the profile."

Gender/Status in the profile has nothing to do with sexual preferences. It is the gender and status of the member.
Whether all members are truthful is another matter.

OK, it might be useful, if it is important for you in your circle of contacts or you are seeking sexual partners.
For us, it is more a question of an interesting personality and the way they conduct themselves.

A section in the profile which gives in broad bands ages, would be useful. Such as Aged 20-30 or 30- 40 or 40-50 or even 50 - 60 or even Ancient!
An alternative might be 20's 30's, 40's etc.
Even some Wrinklies look younger than some of the Youngsters that have had a hard life!
