Corton Beach!

As Released to BN

News Release
June 28 2010:
For immediate release:
Corton Beach Clarification
Waveney District Council and Suffolk Police are seeking to clarify the
position regarding acceptable activities on the site of the former naturist
beach at Corton.
Although the beach is no longer designated specifically for naturist use,
by-laws do not prohibit nude sun-bathing and it is not an illegal activity.
However other activities - for example a man deliberately exposing himself, or
other obscene acts - are illegal and police will continue to take action against
anyone carrying out any activity which causes harassment, alarm or distress.
This also includes anyone who is abusive towards naturists using the beach.
Superintendent Ian Sidney of Suffolk Police said: "We have received several
calls in the past few weeks and have attended the beach to investigate reports
of inappropriate behaviour.
However there is no law to prevent naturists using Corton beach and we would
hope that all communities can respect the wishes and activities of others as
long as they are reasonable." Cllr Ken Sale, Waveney's Portfolio Holder for the

Sun Day

Flawless blue sky, a little breezy, but I managed to get out on the sun lounger. Really nice and warm; most enjoyable. May there be many more to come.

Volcanic Ash!

Well the day started well. The sun has been out all day and no cloud at all. I had to clean off the sunbed before I could put the matress on it. It was covered in a grey dust!

Just after 12:15 the sun was round far enough, and I was able to get my ration of sun. The wind is still a little cool, but no longer from the east. Hopefully more sunny days this week.

"Get it while you can, it's later than you think!"

When will winter end?

Two years ago I had most of my annual tan by now. This year I have only managed one session in the garden. Sun has been shinng the last few days, but cold wind from the east has really taken the edge off it.

Cloud today! Yugh!

A little late this year>

Well it's finally warm enough for laying out in the sun. In anticipation of a good weekend I got the sun lounger out of the shed on Friday and repaired it. Yesterday, despite a light cool breeze I mananged to get an hour's peace on it, rather later in the afternoon than I would have liked, but the sun obviously had and an effect from the way my skin felt when I climbed into bed. Long may these days continue.

Spring

Spring is still stuttering to get started here. Daffodils are now all in full bloom, they started to bloom about a week ago. The sun has been warm when it has been out, but the wind cool, typically 12 or 13c most days. Lawns have had their first cut and another wheelie bin filled to the brim with moss etc. off the lawn. I must improve my moss killing attempts.

Cycling

I cycled a section of Angles Way this morning. Carlton Colville to Beccles: http://www.countrysideaccess.norfolk.gov.uk/pdfs/walk-01-3.pdf

A really peaceful ride, though quite bumpy. Even with the front suspension I had to stop occasionally to let my hands get back to normal from all the shaking. Other equipment was taken care of with padded cycling shorts.

Maybe I will be back next year to cycle part of it naked. So if you are on the Broads next year keep an eye peeled for the naked cyclist.
