Looking at the map and where folks live confirms that we are spread far and wide.
Some times you might go to a Beach, a Swim or other event and meet up with friends that you have made contact with though such a site as ITB.

We wonder though, what happens to those folks that just make contact via a Personnal Message or chat on line, does the contact last and friendship last or do they 'Fade away'

Susan and I met via the Internet and the result was that we have been a Couple for 2 years now!

How many times have you checked your IN BOX which tells you that there is a message waiting to be read. You click to read it, and find that all there is there is just your original message that you sent out and a BLANK REPLY.

Makes you wonder what those folks meant to say to you, but didn't All those lost contacts!

What did the old Post Office Advert say? Someone, somewhere is waiting for a letter from you! Change 'Letter' to 'Email' and it fits. Of course we have another sunny day in prospect so lets go outside away from Computers.

To a naturist venue, perhaps a beach, a swim or maybe some other event.

Do you limit your 'Travel Time' or the 'Mileage' you will do?

In the past we have done 80 miles each way to a swim, and longer for a full day at a beach, a club or centre. Are you cutting back on places you goto? If you don't attend will it make these events Non Viable and we lose them?

Or to ask it another way; Why is the Ratio of Males to Females that are members of Naturist web sites so high. This seems true of both U.K based sites and those based in other English speaking countries.

Ladies have been described as 'Like Hens Teeth' because they are so scarce.

Now to add to the question, 'What could be done to encourage Females to join such sites?'

As this is a Naturist Site do we really need to know what sexual preferences folks are? This is part of the GENDER/STATUS in the profile.

OK, it might be useful, if it is important for you in your circle of contacts or you are seeking sexual partners.
For us, it is more a question of an interesting personality and the way they conduct themselves.

A section in the profile which gives in broad bands ages, would be useful. Such as Aged 20-30 or 30- 40 or 40-50 or even 50 - 60 or even Ancient!
An alternative might be 20's 30's, 40's etc.
Even some Wrinklies look younger than some of the Youngsters that have had a hard life!

We are begining to wonder like a few others why SOME folks ask to go on your 'Buddy List' when they have never even been in contact with you before?
Is it like collecting PacMan Cards or those that are somewhat older Ciggi Cards,
perhaps seeking a full set.? Then they can say 'I've got more than you!

Even if you accept them on 'Your List' do you hear from them again? The same with responding to Personal Messages, How many do you reply to and they 'Disappear into a Black Hole' , never to be heard from again?

Then even worst, what about those folks that you arrange to meet at their request and they are 'NO SHOWS' and not even a phone call with some Reason or Excuse?

Perhaps 'Textiles' are just the same?

Thats our somewhat cynical view of the state of play!

It is a subject that most men manage to keep under wraps - or at least under their shirts. But yesterday (15th May) 3 Senior Judges grappled with the question as to whether Male Breasts could be regared as having any sexual allure. The leading legal minds got to grips with the issue after a a 44 year old male was convicted last year of Voyeurism. He had been caught at a Public Swimming Pool with a Video Camera hidden in a plastic bag (With a hole for the lens) secretly filming Mens 'Top Halves'.
The judges ruled that a mans bare torso could not count as 'private parts'. The 2003 Sexual Offences Act specifies that 'Private Parts' must be exposed for Voyeurism to have taken place. Only women it seems have breasts that can be seem in a sexual light. So Ladies breasts are still considered 'Private' in 21st Century bathers, whilst mens are not.

As the 44 year old Man that won his appeal said
'It was the men I was interested in!'

It takes all sorts, we suppose.

With so many Males appearing on Naturist Web Sites and declaring themselves to be either Gay or Bi, we wonder if what Pete Burns the singer (Part of the Band Dead or Alive) is reported as saying is correct? Pete, was married to a woman for 28 years and just 10 months after his Civil Partnership to Michael Simpson, he is now declaring that Gay Relationships are like the 'Commercial Break' rather than the 'The Full Movie'. He also claimed that there was too much promiscuity in the gay community for Civil Partnerships to survive. Since Dec 2005 and the Civil Partnership Act coming into force, there have been over 18,000 C.P's and as spokesman for Stonewall the Gay Rights organisation said this has brought joy and fulfilment to thousands of couples. Just as in Marriage, some relationships will fail,
Michael Simpson who is alleged to have broken Pete's collar bone during an assault last week was unavailable for comment. Pete's other comments included that he viewed Marriage and C.P's as a 'Sacred Instiution' he also said, 'I have learned the hard way'. Pete's last significant T.V appearance was in Celebrity Big Brother in 2006 - since then he has been advertising hair products.

Here are some questions that might provoke some interesting answersand maybe enlightenment.
It has been suggested that being 'Bi' or 'Bi Curious' is becoming more common amongst the members on the various Naturist an Nudist friendship sites. We have friends who are 'Gay' both M and F, no problem understanding their choice, and can understand that in the teenage years perhaps the need to explore your sexuality. As it has never affected us we wonder about the 'Bi's. For those who have become Bi's in later life this seems more complex..
Someone rather uncharitably suggested that it was rather like a child being taken into a Sweet shop and asked to choose from all. that was offer. Then not knowing what to have first.

A further question, are the splits or preferences found of these sites representative of the preferences of the Population as a whole and are the Bi's and perhaps those who are 'Gay' more inclined to be Naturists?

We ask rather tongue in cheek, Is it like buying TWO tickets for the National Lottery, you double your chances of winning something.

Susan, became a member of ITB  about 10 weeks ago ( during Jan 07) At that time she was resident down in Newport South Wales. Thank you for the welcome messages to her.  At that time she was commuting up to Norfolk to be with me for about two weeks every month. It had been planned she would move up towards the end of March, However the wait was just too much for us both, so she moved  to up to our bungalow which is between Wisbech and King's Lynn on 12th Feb.  She is now settling into the Norfolk way.
