Marine Conservation Society Beachwatch 2010
Beachwatch arrives at the unofficial beach at Portslade (Shoreham) for the second time this year. We will be carrying out a survey and clearing litter from the beach from 11.00hrs on Sunday 19th.
The meeting point is the car parking area at the western end of the beach. We only need to wear sandals and gloves to satisfy the risk assessment. If you cannot get there until after 11.00hrs or need to leave before we finish that isn't a problem, any help will be gratefully received. There should be plenty of to swim and sunbathe, weather permitting !
Please reply or pm me if you can come so that I can get hold of sufficient litter pickers and other kit.

Studland Beachwatch - clean up and survey
It's our 4th year! Amazing! Beachwatch 2010 at Studland Naturist Beach in Dorset.
Once again please join me on Saturday 18th September at 2pm to help my team of volunteers pick up litter and record the data for the Marine Conservation Society's annual project to save our seas and shores from pollution. Plastic bottles and wrappers are the main culprits.
A good day out, bring a packed lumch, suncream and a hat.
The last two years we have had sunshine and good weather at Studland in September.
I hope you can join me.

ITB Meetings Aug 14th
There hasn't been as many people opt to meet up on 14th August as had been hoped.
If you are interested in meeting, we are currently considering 2 meetings
1 at Studland on the south coast.
And another at Holkham
The Holkham beach would require a member to wear an ITB baseball cap, or plant an ITB pendant near them (both provided) so that other members can recognise them and feel comfortable with saying hi, so if you are up for the job drop me a line.
If you are up for meeting other ITB members on the day in the locations suggested, please add your name by commenting, and if you are further north in the UK and would like to organise a 3rd meet on one of the other UK beaches, please contact me.
Apologies to all those that find these suggested locations are out of their range, hopefully the more people that get involved with meets, the more meets and places can be covered in the future.
Look forward to meeting up
All the best
William
